Welcome!

Let me introduce myself – the Garni Reider, since 1957 a house for guests from all over the world. For as long as I can remember I have sat snugly amidst the meadows and forests of sunny South Tyrol, surrounded by mountain peaks – at 1,150 metres above sea level in the hamlet of Schlaneid near Mölten, up on the Tschögglberg plateau between Bozen and Meran.
Together with their three sons, hosts Angelika and Andreas now represent the fourth generation of the same family to welcome guests with lavish hospitality. After enjoying a good night’s sleep in one of my cosy, quiet rooms, furnished in country-house style, morning offers something for everyone at the breakfast buffet. Homemade products such as herbal teas, jams, cakes, juices and muesli, not to mention fresh fruit, smoked ham, eggs, served with a cappuccino, all taste particularly good whether taken on the panoramic terrace or in the conservatory! Our guests appreciate both this and the friendly atmosphere to be found here.
My garden is also the perfect spot to unwind. While their parents can relax on a lounger with a book from my library, younger guests can enjoy playing without a care. And the playground in the nearby forest is a place where children's dreams come true! My central location means that I am best placed for outings to the Dolomites, Lake Kaltern, the Montiggl Lakes and even Lake Garda, while the cities of Bozen and Meran are just a 30-minute drive away – perfect for a leisurely shopping trip or museum visit. Your host Andreas will also be pleased to offer tips for excursions over a good glass of wine. Rucksacks, baby carriers, hiking poles and highchairs are all available too! Finally, the numerous marked hiking trails nearby make the area a paradise for walkers.
So I am sure you can't wait to get to know me – and I'm very much looking forward to serving as your home in South Tyrol!
Yours, Garni Reider
